The annual Minnesota Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) health education summit gathers health education specialists, and public health professionals from around the state to exchange information and create a healthier Minnesota through effective public health education practice. This Year's Topics:
Presenters will speak on topics of nicotine and commercial tobacco dependence, youth digital wellbeing, mental health and policy, workplace wellbeing, a poster session, networking, and more!
Conference Objectives:
- Develop new knowledge and skills
- Expand professional health education networks – including people, organizations, and resources to enhance and energize health education planning, intervention, research, and evaluation.
- Identify strategies that will further equitable and inclusive environments.
- Explore sustainable policy, system, and environmental changes to enhance community health and resiliency.
Continuing Education Credits:
An application has been submitted to award Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) and/or Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES) up to a total of 3.5 Category I Continuing Education Contact Hours (CECH). The National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. has approved SOPHE and its chapters as designated multiple event providers of CECH in health education.
