    MPHA will be having its annual lunch on Monday November 6 at 12:30 p.m. at a restaurant near the convention center! MPHA members and friends are welcome to join us to learn more about MPHA and APHA, share meeting tips and meet other Minnesotans who are passionate about public health!

    Dear Minnesota Public Health Association Members,

     

    We have been invited to assist in a student's dissertation research project, to study how we as public health professionals receive and seek information. Please read below for additional details and survey link. Surveys open now through October 5, 2017.

    You are cordially invited to participate in a research study entitled "Information Seeking Behavior of Public Health Professional in the U.S." The purpose of the study is to investigate how public health professionals seek information in the digital environment as well as understand the obstacles public health professionals experience in accessing and finding information from electronic resources.


    The research study will be anonymous, you are not asked to provide your name. Your answers and comments are confidential and will be aggregated in the analysis. It will take around 15-20 minutes to answer the questions. Your participation is highly appreciated, 20-30 people selected from random drawing will be awarded an incentives worth of $30.

    The Minnesota Department of Health is accepting applications for our Health Equity Advisory & Leadership (HEAL) Council. The HEAL Council will advise us and provide a forum for honest and constructive feedback on the strategic direction of the Center for Health Equity and broader agency in advancing health equity. The application is a two-part process. The first deadline is Sept. 20. Learn more about the HEAL Council and how to apply.
