Join this webinar, an APHA 150th Anniversary event, to hear a State of the Public Health Union address followed by a panel discussion among American Journal of Public Health authors.

In the State of the Union address, presidents review the recent past and provide guidance about what lays ahead. Why not have a similar event for public health? This webinar will be staged as a State of the Public Health Union event, introduced by the address of this year’s elected prime minister and followed by a panel of AJPH authors bringing the perspective of health officers – at the county, city, territories, and state levels – schools of public health, historians of public health, and intersectional researchers. The panel will comment on the address and then discuss what the past and the current pandemic tell us about the public health we need. The webinar will include a Q&A between audience members and the experts.

Registration is free for APHA members, $25 for nonmembers.
