Breakout Session Request for Proposals is now open!

Submit by August 1, 2024

The Partners in Public Health Conference will take place November 13 through 15, 2024, in Breezy Point, MN, and will include several breakout sessions.

We are looking for breakout session presentations that will advance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of those working in governmental public health across Minnesota.

This is an in-person only conference. All presentations are expected to be in-person, too. The deadline to submit a request for proposals is August 1, 2024. Applicants will be notified of selection decisions in early September.

What are we looking for in breakout presentations?

Generally, presentations should:

  • Be either 60 or 75 minutes.

  • Impart new information.
  • Share promising strategies and best practices.
  • Depict creative programs and services.
  • Demonstrate innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Make significant contributions to professional development for state and local public health leaders.
  • Address issues of health equity across all tracks.
  • Highlight success – recognizing innovation and celebrating practices that are working.
  • Include the voices of community partners, Tribal partners, and those with lived experience.
The breakout sessions will be categorized into the conference’s four tracks:
  1. Workforce issues and leadership development
  2. Communications
  3. Working in partnership
  4. Public health system transformation
