The Rocky Mountain Mental Illness Research, Education and Clinical Center (RMIRECC) for Suicide Prevention is a national center that is based out of the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center, which conducts research, provides clinical consultation and programming and develops educational resources for Veterans, families and providers.

RMIRECC has a variety of no cost, publicly available resources that are more generally helpful for providers and communities:

• Therapeutic Risk Management of the Suicidal Patient, support for managing both acute and chronic suicidality
• How to Talk to a Child about a Suicide Attempt in Your Family (Free print version available in both English and Spanish, shared and recommended by Department of Education, American School Counselors Association and Suicide Prevention Resource Center)
• Uniting for Suicide Postvention (healing following a suicide, with sections for providers, workplace and communities)
• Suicide Risk Management Consultation Program (which offers free, expert consultation for any provider, including outside VA, working with a Veteran who may be at risk of suicide)
• Free Webinar series (offering CEUs) for all providers on implementing CPGs for suicide prevention
