Dear MPHA Members & Friends,

You are invited to the Healthy Brain & Aging Policy Event: Strengthening Minnesota’s Rural & Tribal Community Infrastructure, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, 8:30AM – 3:00 PM. The policy event will take place at the Wilder Foundation, located at 451 Lexington Parkway North, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55104, and is hosted by the Memory Keepers Medical Discovery Team, the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter, the Minnesota Northstar Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program, and Wilder Foundation.

The purpose of this event is to convene state policymakers, researchers and professionals from academic institutes, state agencies, and rural and Tribal serving organizations and community members to engage in conversations on the challenges, needs, strengths and resources of Minnesota rural and Tribal communities to address aging and brain health, including Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias. We anticipate an estimated 100 in attendance.

We would be honored if you could participate in our first joint policy event. This includes hearing from experts from state government agencies, professional organizations, and research institutes on the landscape of healthy brain, aging, and dementia initiatives and best practices in our wonderful State of Minnesota and engaging in discussions with advocates and community members during our afternoon tabled discussions.
