A New Way to Respond to 9-1-1 Calls in Ramsey County

Not every 9-1-1 call is the same, some require police, fire, or medics to be sent while others can be resolved with the help of a public health responder or other professional. Ramsey County's Appropriate Responses Initiative (ARI) centers partnerships with community to develop new responses to 9-1-1 calls to better meet the needs of callers. MPHA Health Equity Committee meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Thursday of the month from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Currently all meetings are virtual. Meetings are open to MPHA members and non-members who want to learn more and take action on advancing health equity in Minnesota.
