Reflecting on Progress, Envisioning Tomorrow:
A Continued Dialogue from MPHA’s event 'Advancing Health Equity Report – 10 years later'

Ten years ago, the Advancing Health Equity in Minnesota: Report to the Legislature was submitted to the Minnesota Legislature in January 2014. Last month, the Minnesota Public Health Association (MPHA) held “Advancing Health Equity Report: 10 years later” where we heard from co-authors’ and key stakeholders on the report’s history and its development, the lessons and insights learned along the way, and its impact to promoting health equity for all Minnesotans.

However, we know that the conversation and work towards an equitable, more just future does not end here. Join the MPHA Health Equity Committee on July 18th for a vital follow-up on the progress made in health equity over the past decade, to reimagine what a truly equitable future could look like in the next ten years and what actions it will take to get there.

MPHA Health Equity Committee meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Thursday of the month from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Currently all meetings are virtual. Meetings are open to MPHA members and non-members who want to learn more and take action on advancing health equity in Minnesota.
