The United States Public Health Service Commissioned Officers Foundation for the Advancement of Public Health will host the 2019 USPHS Scientific and Training Symposium in Minneapolis on May 6-9.  The annual conference is for men and women of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and other health professionals in federal, state, local, and tribal organizations. The University of Minnesota School of Public Health is an academic partner of the 2019 USPHS Symposium. 

To boost local support, members of MPHA are invited to a reception with free drinks and hors d'oeuvres on Tuesday, October 2 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. Speakers will provide an overview of the USPHS Commissioned Corps, the agenda for the conference, and how local health professionals can be included.
