Minnesota Public Health Association
The Minnesota chapter of the Society for Public Health Education will hold its yearly summit on Wednesday, October 17th at Gustavus Adolphus College.
This year's theme is “Inspiring Change: Unleashing the Power of Public Health Education”, with the intent to give those working in health education/promotion and prevention encouragement and strategies to not only continue, but to thrive – during unprecedented times of controversy and challenge.
So far speakers are confirmed on the topics of the opioid crisis, gun violence as a public health challenge and food insecurity – all specific to Minnesota. Even if you don’t personally work directly on any of these issues, the interconnectedness between social determinants of health, and the power of working together to create change are important threads for everyone. It will be a wonderful time to network and meet new colleagues. CHES/MCHES credits are in the process of being applied for.
