The Health Disparities Roundtable is an annual event at the end of Public Health Week. The purpose of the round table is to bring national and local speakers to campus to discuss emerging issues in health and racial equity research, policy and/or practice.
Light Breakfast and Poster Session: 9-9:30am
Keynote Speakers: Dr. Nekima Levy-Pounds, a renowned civil rights attorney, ordained Reverend and national expert on issues at the intersections of race, public policy, economic justice, public education, juvenile justice, and the criminal justice system. Shay Bilchik, Director and Founder of the Center for Juvenile Justice Reform at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy. Lee Buckley, Community Reentry Coordinator, Reentry Services, Minnesota Department of Corrections.
Free and open to the public. This event is eligible for 2.5 CPH recertification credits and 0.25 CEUs.
