Join us to explore key topics, current trends and useful tools at the seventh annual Minnesota Childhood Injury Summit, September 24, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Vadnais Heights Commons, 655 East County Road F, Vadnais Heights. The event is designed for those involved in childhood injury prevention through public health and healthcare, public safety, not-for-profit organizations and any program with a focus on children. Presented by Safe Kids Minnesota, the Minnesota Safety Council and the Minnesota Department of Health, the event will feature local and national speakers in sessions that include:

  • The World Through Their Eyes: Crafting Effective Messages for Parents and Caregivers
  • Selected Minnesota Trends and Tools: Poisoning and Sports Injury
  • Making the Most of Minnesota's Injury Data
  • Why Do They Act That Way? A Look at the Teenage Brain and Risk-taking Behavior
  • Spotlight on Promising Practices — Hear directly from colleagues who are involved with promising projects and programs that you can use in your community.

PLUS a chance to re-connect with longtime colleagues — and meet new ones, an opportunity to honor this year's Champion of Child Safety Award winner, delicious food and more!

Cost is $45 through September 10; $55 after September 10 (includes continental breakfast, buffet lunch and refreshments throughout the day).
