Hennepin County Medical Center pediatric staff wants all parents and care givers with young children to start their kids off right with healthy behaviors. Dr. Cutts and a team of pediatricians, dieticians, nurses and project managers put together a five-minute video that features real families at HCMC. The video topics include: “Introducing Vegetables Early and Often,” “Family Mealtime,” “The importance of Parent Modeling,” “Picky Eaters,” “Healthy Liquids” and “Physical Activity as a Family.”
At this third forum panelists and participants will explore and discuss issues related to environmental concerns that affect the health of children ages 0‐4—toys, food, water, and chemicals.
The last forum will explore safety and well‐being concerns. What progress have we made in preventing and protecting young children from physical and mental abuse, in limiting exposure to guns in the home, and in addressing concerns about exposure to prescription drugs?
