2014 State of Public Health Forum: Public Health in All Policies

Please join the Minnesota Department of Health, the Local Public Health Association of Minnesota, the Minnesota Public Health Association and the University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health. on Monday, April 7, at the Dakota Lodge in West St. Paul, for an important conversation.

The event will feature an address by Dr. Ed Ehlinger, Minnesota Commissioner of Health, regarding the state of public health in Minnesota. Commissioner Ehlinger believes partnership and collaboration are key tools in our work to make Minnesota the healthiest state in the nation. In his presentation, Commissioner Ehlinger will urge the public health community to reach out and find allies in other fields of public service to forge new partnerships that advance our shared mission of protecting, maintaining and improving the quality of life for all Minnesotans.

The forum will also include a panel discussion featuring public leaders from outside public health, who will talk about the public health implications of their work.

Public- and private-sector health professionals are encouraged to participate, along with colleagues in related public service fields. There is no cost, but advance registration is requested online at http://www.health.state.mn.us/registration/nocharge/. Deadline for advance registration is close of business on April 4, 2014.
