The September 7th Global Health meeting has been canceled in favor of a different event:  a tour of MATTER on Monday Sept. 25, 5:30 -7:00 PM. 

This special tour has been organized by the Minnesota International NGO Network to get an in-depth look at the organization in a small group setting. MATTER is a nonprofit on a mission to expand access to health equipment and supplies around the world. The agenda includes an overview of the organization by Quenton Marty, MATTER President, and a private tour of their office and warehouse of recycled medical equipment.

The organization is very interested in partnering with the collaborative public health activities of the Minnesota Public Health Association in working with the Province of Villa Clara in Cuba.  MPHA members are encouraged to participate in this event and provide feedback within MPHA about the potential fit of working with MATTER in Cuba and pursuing related fundraising.

There will be a networking opportunity of all of the event participants starting at 7pm following the tour of MATTER at Cooper Pub which is nearby in St. Louis Park.
