National Partnership for Action to End Health Disparities Webinar Series: Promoting Health Equity through Programs and Policies

The Healthy Minnesota Partnership is an example of a state health agency transforming their approach to integrate health equity through a state-wide partnership between community partners and the Minnesota Department of Health. In addition, Minnesota used an extensive community-based process to develop a state legislative report on health equity that included recommendations for advancing health equity in Minnesota. These recommendations included: create a Minnesota Center for Health Equity; adopt a “health in all policies” approach; examine policies across state agencies for structural inequities. In this webinar, speakers will discuss the policy levers and partnerships that led to the creation of the Healthy Minnesota Partnership and the Legislative Report on Health Equity as well as the strategies, resources and tools implemented through these initiatives to promote health equity in the state of Minnesota.
